Q. Where are you from?

**A.**I was born and raised in Osaka. I have been living in Tokyo for over 20 years.

Q. Tell me a bit about yourself.

A. I pursued higher education at a university in Kyoto for four years. Following my studies, I dedicated myself to volunteer work in Kenya, which broadened my horizons and deepened my appreciation for diverse cultures. Subsequently, I joined a prestigious Japanese trading company, where I excelled in sales and served as a construction site supervisor across 25 countries. My passion for sharing authentic Japanese experiences led me to launch izakaya tours in Tokyo. In February 2023, with the easing of the pandemic, I officially founded my tour guide business, bringing my extensive knowledge and genuine love for Tokyo to visitors from around the world.

Q. What made you become a tour guide?

A. When I was backpacking abroad, my favorite style of travel was enjoying local cultures with local people. Upon returning to Japan, I noticed that many visitors struggled to connect with the local culture and people. I wanted to share the local experiences I love with the travelers I admire.

Q. In Tokyo, where would you particularly recommend to visitors?

A. Shinjuku - This area taught me both the joys and the challenges of city life. It's a place where business districts, shopping areas, and nightlife seamlessly blend together, creating a vibrant and dynamic atmosphere that feels almost like a giant, living creature.

Q. What’s your favorite item to buy at a convenience store?

A. Cup Ramen and Ice Cream - I can't resist trying new cup ramen flavors whenever they come out. Ice cream is the perfect dessert after a cup of ramen. Just be careful not to overindulge!
